Artiste manager, producer, and songwriter, Ricky Nana Agyemang, well known as Bullet has explained his reason why he intends to move his record label to Nigeria.
The CEO of Rufftown Records said that some laws set by the Government of Ghana restricts people in the entertainment industry to make money from their craft.
He explained that some of these laws have banned celebrities from securing ambassadorial deals from alcoholic beverages and advertising for them, adding that these laws needs to be trashed to enable industry players to make some cash from their craft.
“Ghanaians not a place to operate a record label business and this is very sad. Record labels do not make money from just shows where their artistes are billed to perform, the majority of the money comes from endorsement deals. You people are always goofing with your laws. Do you guys have any idea of the devastating effects of COVID-19 on the creative arts?”
It is still unclear as to what Bullet has seen about the Nigeria Creative Industry and why he wants to move his Record Label there. Stars like Rex Omar and others have complained about the negligence of the Government about the creative industry and their refusal to support them financially.
